Introduction: Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Systems. This role requires a proactive approach to security management and a strong commitment to innovation and technology in the security sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and support CCTV systems, including enterprise VMS systems such as Milestone and cloud-based environments.
- Install and maintain access control systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing security infrastructure.
- Work with leading access control technologies, including CEM, Feenics, Lenel, Paxton, C-Cure, and more.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure optimal functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical support to Project Management Teams as well as training to users and junior engineers.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop comprehensive security solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest security technologies and integrate advanced solutions into our systems as applicable.
- Assist in the documentation of system configurations and designs.
- Participate in emergency response planning and troubleshooting system issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in security system engineering, specifically with CCTV and access control systems.
- Proficiency in enterprise VMS systems like Milestone and familiarity with cloud-based CCTV environments.
- Extensive knowledge of the configuration and programming requirements for access control systems.
- Experience in intruder detection systems is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- AWS & MS Azure knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
- Certifications related to security systems, network engineering, or system design.
- Experience with IP network design and management.
- Proven ability to manage project work packages from conception through to execution and maintenance.
- A proactive approach and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
