Security Installation Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable team of four experienced Security Installation Engineers to join us for 6-Weeks on a large construction project in West London.

The successful team will be responsible for the full installation lifecycle of security systems, from 1st fix to 2nd fix, ensuring adherence to detailed construction and termination drawings. This role demands a strong understanding of CCTV and Access Control systems, coupled with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• 1st Fix CCTV Installation:
  • Accurate installation of bracketry and camera mounting according to project specifications.
• 1st Fix Access Control Wiring:
  • Installation of access control wiring as per detailed construction drawings.
• Access Control Ancillary Device Installation:
  • Installation of controllers, readers, breakglass units, and exit buttons.
• 2nd Fix Access Control Wiring Termination:
  • Precise termination of wiring into panels and remote devices, strictly adhering to provided termination drawings.
• Work effectively as part of a team of 4.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all site health and safety regulations.
• Work 10 hour days.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) cards for all team members.
• Valid IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) licenses for all team members.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in 1st and 2nd fix security installation.
• Demonstrable experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Proven ability to install security systems to a high standard.
• Strong ability to interpret and work from detailed construction and termination drawings.
• Willingness to work 10 hour days.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
